Playa Uvita is one of the most impressive beaches on the southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Playa Uvita is located within the Ballena Marine National Park. This park is very popular because between the months of December and April, humpback whales migrate here to the warm waters off the coast to mate before returning north.
